Dress Codes

Dance Classes Dress Codes 

All students are required to wear proper dancewear to class. Hair should be pulled up off the face & neck. Ballet students should have hair in a bun. Cell phones must be turned off or left home. Gum chewing and long earrings are not allowed in class. 

Combo (Ages 3-5)

Girls w ear light pink leotards & tights, pink ballet shoes and white tap shoes. Dance skirts in any color can be worn

Tap and Jazz

Solid colored leotards, nude or black tights, and dance shorts. Black split sole jazz shoes, black buckle Mary Janes tap shoes for 6-9 year old classes. Students 10 & up- black split sole tie taps.

Ballet (beginner to advance beginner levels)

All Ballet students must wear black leotards/pink tights. Warm ups allowed in cold weather only & dance skirts allowed for center floor. You’ll need pink split sole leather ballet slippers.

Ballet (intermediate to advanced levels)

Any solid color leotard/pink tights preferred. Warm–ups are advised for barre work, dance skirts for center floor work. Split sole pink ballet shoes are a must. 


Through teacher recommendation, qualified students begin around ages 12-13. Prerequisite of 3-4 years ballet training with a year of weekly multiple ballet classes. Instructor will recommend shoes.

Ballet Technique 

Has a class uniform/pink tights that must be worn without exception. Tech class and regular ballet class are pointe class requirements.

Musical Theater

Leotard or tight tank with dance shorts/dance pants only. Black jazz shoes required.

Hip Hop

Loose/baggy sweats and t-shirts, clean/dry sneakers, no shorts or jeans. 


Leotard, dance shorts, footless tights OR jazz pants with no tights. Bare feet. No jeans.


Tight fitted athletic wear. Socks or jazz shoes
